The back up camera does not work in my car. It works on occasion, very rare occasion. There is an active recall for this same issue with the manufacturer but according to my VIN it’s not included but I’m having same issues as the other cars are having.

The vehicle abruptly lost power, and I had to maneuver to the side of the road while traffic was flowing around me. Fortunately, I was able to avoid a collision, but the situation posed a serious risk to my safety and that of other drivers nearby.
This intensified and smoke began to enter the cabin of the car. I pulled over and called 911. After opening the hood the fire department extinguished a small fire in the engine compartment just forward of the driver steering wheel area.
The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer who diagnosed that there was a failure of the sun visor arm. The replacement part was ordered; however, the vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure.
