Bmw drivers air bag module recall, campaign no. 16v-071. The driver's front air bag module recall for my 2010 bmw 335i x-drive coupe, dated 02-05-2016 was sent to me in march 2016. I called richmond, va bmw as soon as I received the recall notice. I was told the air bag module would be placed on order.
Takata recall my local kentucky dealer states they have no idea when my 6 year old 335 will be fixed and it may take another two years.. It's like driving an air bag time bomb. They also state kentucky is very low on the priority list since they don't sell as many cars. Unacceptable!
While driving 65 mph, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration and stalled. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump and oil pressure pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 36,000.
First recall was the fuel pump now the oil pump. How many things will have to break in this 2010 335xi until they will recognize it as a lemon car? I believe that my oil pump was going out because of the recall that they had on the electrical battery cables.
