The car at high revs at hard acceleration suddenly loses power, causing it to upshift and stop accelerating. Manufacturer said on heavy acceleration, that the intake pipe to the engine collapse upon heavy acceleration, as they are plastic and can compress and expand. They then re-attach when under less load.
