What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Sidewalls of the tires on the passenger side were real shinny where they had rubbed against the shocks. All the six spring hanger brackets were bent toward the drivers side. Allowed the tires to rub against the shock, which would cause heat buildup and cause the tire to blow.
What to check before buying
- Suspension. Wheel alignment, control arms, subframe, even tire wear.
