After driving for just over three hours one day, the next day I noticed a slippery liquid on the driverâs-side floorboard mat. I took the truck to the dealership, and they stated they could not see a leak or liquid on the driver's floorboard. The liquid had been wiped off the mat.
When shifting into reverse to pull out of my garage, with my foot firmly on the middle of the brake pedal, the truck suddenly accelerated, squealing the tires until I pumped the brake to make it stop. It was a very frightening experience.
First started having problems with 4x4 randomly engaging and then shortly after that a complete loss of braking capability. Warnings of Park Brake Fault, Check Brake System, Reverse Brake Assist not Available, Check Brake System, Park Brake Limited Function, Pre-Collision Assist not Available.
The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who discovered that rodents had chewed through a power cable and built a nest inside the engine compartment. The dealer found one rodent electrocuted in the engine compartment. The contact was informed that the power cable connector and other unknown parts needed to be replaced.
