What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Low beam headlights failed during driving at night nearly causing a serious accident. Many lives could be affected because of this well known design issue not being addressed by gmc. There is a gmc recall for this same problem, but my vehicle isn't included.
The fuel level sensor is malfunctioning giving me erroneous high and low readings. I noticed in august 2011, gm issued a special coverage for this exact problem, however it was only good for 10 years or 120,000 miles. My envoy is 11-1/2 years old, but only has approx. 87,500 miles on it.
Misfire in cylinder car cut completely off in traffic it only happens when you accelerate like entering the ramp to the highway as you accelerate onto the highway car will misfire cutting off very dangerous situation.
Oil pressure sensor. I could drive a very short distance before the oil pressure would fall down to zero. The oil pressure warning light would come on and then stop engine.
Fuel gauge doesn't work. Have run out of gas twice. Not a safe situation. Gmc knows and hasn't issued a recall
Bump/thump noise coming from rear suspension now and I feel it in the floor. Automatic load level control rear suspension not working now. Under 85,000 miles
The rear of my car lowers down extremely low, just about every time I turn of the car. It has been happening for many, many, months, and it has gotten worse over time. Once I crank it up, I basically have to wait for it to rise up. I have noticed many complaints about this issue online.
The contact stated that the low beam headlight failed to operate intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.
