Rear tire blowout on 2009 honda vt750c shadow aero motorcycle while driving 50 mph... Inspection revealed defective tire valve stem ruptured under wheel rim. Motorcycle is 6 months old with 1803 miles on odometer. Air pressure was checked before each ride and there was never any indication of a problem.
The contact stated that while driving at speeds of at least 50 mph, the vehicle would excessively and violently vibrate. The vibrations were so severe that the contacts vision was severely impaired. The contact spoke with the manufacturer who would not provide any assistance.
When driving above 50 mph or in 5th gear the motorcycle vibrates badly, as if the suspension was failing. The motorcycle was taken to the dealer for inspection. The technicians could not identify the cause of the failure, therefore they could not provide a remedy. The failure mileage was 4.
I have ridden the bike about 400 miles and at speeds above fifty miles per hours the cycle vibrates badly. At speeds over 55 the cycle bounces severely enough to bounce the rider's eyeballs to the point that vision is severely impaired. I returned the motorcycle to the dealership and contacted honda inc.
