What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Check hybrid System warning comes on during initial start of the day. First service visit for problem had a bad water pump replaced on 1 of the electric motors at ~400 miles. Dealership said this resolved the problem, but the same problem is now recurring at 780 miles. Don't know how safe it is to drive vehicle.
Vehicle's hybrid system is malfunctioning stating a warning of "stop vehicle and check power supply".
This issue is consistent with Hyundai Recall 301 (NHTSA Campaign 26V308), issued May 2026 for 54,337 Elantra Hybrid vehicles for the same HPCU MOSFET overheating defect producing identical warning messages and symptoms. The Palisade Hybrid uses the same Hyundai Mobis-supplied HPCU platform.
Hyundai Motor America has issued Limited Coverage Campaign LA39, titled âHPCU Warning Light On â HPCU Software Update â DTC P0C381C.â However, Hyundai's communication states that LA39 is currently for impacted dealer-stock vehicles only.
"Stop vehicle and check power supply" warning lights accompanied and panic alarm goes off on new 2027 palisade hybrid calligraphy with 72 miles. The passenger rear brake grabs much more than the others which you can barely feel.
