What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Sudden unintended acceleration. Second time . I have owned the vehicle three years. No damage to the vehicle I hit. Mine $3000...fender, hood ,lights, grille. Noone hurt. Little girl in carseat wide eyed..unhurt. Google sudden accelration jaguar and sudden acceleration land rover.
Waiting in fast food service line; vehicle gearshift in "drive" foot on brake; car idling slowly but suddenly revved violently and lurched forward; jammed brakes; rear tires spinning, smoking; foot definitely didnot accidentally engage gas pedal;shifted car gearshift to "neutral." engine rev slowed to normal idle.
The car suddenly lurched forward at a high rate of speed and my brakes were non responsive, my car slammed into the curb. Had there been a pedestrian crossing the parking lot at that time, the results could have been fatal.
