What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
While driving 55 mph, the radiator fluid leaked and the vehicle overheated. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. Recall service # 5451 was found on autozone.com (alldata). The dealer will diagnose the failure on july 13, 2007, per the recall notice. The purchase date was unavailable.
The self-leveling suspension system failed. According to the dealerships, there is not a remedy for this failed system other than to replaced it with the same system. Jaguar made replacements kits for the xj6 but not for the xj12
Ignition failure resulted in vehicle fire, possibly related to the faulty design of the marelli ignition system.
This caused unburned fuel and air to be pumped into the fuel exhaust system, which then overheated the catalytic converter and started a fire. Dealer has been contacted.
Cruise control locked up -- car continued to accelerate -- brakes inoperative against a 300 hp engine -- condition corrected when cruise turned off.
Vehicle continues to experience engine failures, hydraulic reservior leaking on one repair.
Vehicle fails to start with turn of key. After several attempts it will start.
Throttle sticking so that the car will continue to go forward when brake applied.
