What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The bike completely went dead while riding. It turned out to be a wire in the wiring harness was rubbed through the insulation where the wiring harness runs under the fuel tank causing the master fuse to blow. If this would have happened on a busy road at night I could have crashed or been run over.
Left front handlebar clamp/riser cracked while riding motorcycle on freeway.
The engine intermittently stalls when clutch is disengaged while coming up to stop sign or stop light. This stalling usually occurs within 5 minutes of starting motorcycle, however it has also happened at normal operating temperature. The starter needs to be used to restart motorcycle after stalling.
The cooling system on the motorcycle is undersized thus causing the engine to run too hot which leads to rider fatigue and overheating of the motorcycle thus leading to an unsafe condition. The manufacturer has been contacted regarding the problem but holds the position there is no problem.
The engine stalls intermittently while riding which creates a very unsafe situation for the rider. While riding the motorcycle if I pull in the clutch the engine rpm's will start to fall and sometimes the engine shuts off requiring a restart. This happens intermittently whether the engine is cold or hot.
