What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The car caught fire in my garage at 1:30 am due to the brake de-activation switch, as I have researched after the incident is a known problem with ford lincoln mercury vehicles. Fortunately I happen to hear the alarm going off, otherwise my entire home would have gone up in flames.
Headlights are no longer effective. They do not put out enough light to properly be driven with at night. Due to this issue I can no longer drive the vehicle safely at night. I have tried new bulbs, higher power bulbs, and polishing the plastic lenses all to no avail.
1 yellowing of headlights 2 unable to see at night 3 new headlights.
Brake calipers/pads/rotors replaced due to brake failures.
