What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
There is a fuel leak inside the car, rendering it unsafe to start for the fear of the vehicle exploding. This is a production issue as the fuel tank should never ever leak into the passenger compartment. The car has never been in any accident or subjected to any type of severe jolts or bumps on national roads.
The dealer said this is a major safety hazard, and that we were very lucky the car did not catch fire. The reason of this complaint is that mercedes benz refused to take care of such a major safety item.
When owners complained
