What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
A woman blew a tire and lost control of her vehicle and ran into my trailer and came at me head on I swerved away from her and jackknifed into the median. My question is ,was this her fault? Are you suppose to be in control of your vehicle at all times? People are telling me that this was not her fault.
In addition when you attempt to stop when this is happening the car will shake you to a stop which reminds me of the big rail gun in a rambo movie as I hold on to the steering wheel. I have been to a dealership. They have seen the issue and driven with it happening.
The contact was at a stop when she noticed smoke coming from under the hood of the vehicle. The hood was opened and flames began pouring from the engine area. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home.
The contact stated that the brakes failed; making it difficult to stop the vehicle at any time. The manufacturer was notified, but denied any assistance with the vehicle failure. The failure mileage was 24,000 and the current mileage was 24,500. The vin was unavailable.
