What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Daughter hydroplaned, went into ditch on right side of road, traveled across road into left ditch and hit tree, opening the convertible top during crash and totaled vehicle airbags didn't deploy during crash.
My specialists out of state believes it was something known as sudden acceleration. This is a problem why does nhtsa keep ignoring that there is a more serious problem here instead of blaming the drivers.
The air bags did not deploy from the head on collision. I received multiple bruises and sprained neck and shoulder. I have pain to my abdomen due to the seat belt, I had on. Nothing, my car was totaled due to this accident.
While driving 5 mph, the vehicle accelerated on its own. Upon parking near a stop with foot off accelerator and on brake pedal, the vehicle jumped onto the sidewalk. The front needed to be replaced, and will cost $4,700. No police report.
Daughter was traveling down interstate and steering wheel locked up. She was unable to control car so she pulled and jerked the wheel. In doing so when the steering unfroze her car rolled over twice. Car was totaled. We advised gm, who told us they would investigate.
Consumer was traveling about 60mph on the highway and another vehicle hit consumer's vehicle from behind , and driver's side seatbelt broke. Driver went through windshield. Dealership was aware of problem.
This would of occured before I hit the other car, because I was knocked unconscious from the deployment of the airbags, due to the snap of the axle. I have tried to ask many people to look at it, to see what they think would of been the cause, but they have said that they are not able to.
Airbag didn't deploy, and seatbelt restraint didn't lock up. Consumer had complained almost a year about brakes. Dealer claimed they had checked brakes. Vehicle was take to another dealer, and they found factory seals still on brakes. Consumer suffered some serious injuries.
