What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
In the past 13 months I have had to have a engine replacement in which the vehicle was pouring carbon monoxide into the car, I went to pick the vehicle up after being repaired for over a month at the suzuki dealership in charlotte, nc.
Currently have a airbag light on my dash that only goes away for a minute when i hit a bump as well as the passenger seat not detecting there is someone there so their airbag light says its off, no one will help when you call suzuki but they want to keep sending things like fuel tank may crack and occupant…
I have received multiple recall notifications for problems with air bag on the passenger side, and a fuel tank that Suzuki says may crack. It would be great to have these things taken care of, but the repair providers that Suzuki has authorized are both 3 HOURS away!
The vehicle goes in the limp mode while accelerating uphill. At one occasion it went into the limp mode and stalled, very unsafe for highway. Turing it off and restarting needed. The transmission has issues that hasn't been addressed by the manufacturer.
The contact stated that she was not aware of warning lights only a short beeping sound when any weight was placed on the seat. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and the seat cushion sensor was replaced.
First the air conditioning system went out. We called suzuki to see if there was a recall, they said no. We had to search for a part and finally had it replaced at great cost. Now a few months latter this happens. The passanger air bag light has been on for about 2 weeks. Called toyota dealer.
On july 10,2019 pulled out of a red light making right turn steering wheel became hard to turn pulled over turn engine off waited 5 or 10 minutes turned engine back on steering was normal, same thing happened next day under low speed conditions turned engine off steering became normal again.
Car has begun lurching and rpm gauge fluctuating at highway speeds (above 60 mph). Transmission fluid was replaced at 80k miles by suzuki dealer, now at 88k miles and having issue. This is not safe on the highway!
