What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
On three separate occasions the clutch and clutch assembly of my 2007 victory kingpin has broken. The first incident in july 2009 the motorcycle was stationary the clutch assembly was replaced by the dealership under warrenty due to a broken adjuster.
Gauges drop to zero and headlight extinguishes. Turn signals continue to operate. Engine re-starts immediately and continues until a re-occurrence happens which become more frequent as this continues. Happens every ride.
Came out of garage and pulled the clutch to engage 1st and the cable broke at the handle area. I have checked on multiple victory motorcycle forums and too many riders have had their cables break on them. This could be a safety issue if it were to happen on the highway during rush hour.
