Defective fuel pump quit with less than year old and less than 200 miles ordered new replacement upgraded fuel pump from yamaha parts dealer and installed ....no more problems....
After driving for 30 minutes and parking vehicle refused to restart for 20 minutes. After restart vehicle stalled and again refused to restart.
My normal fuel pump sound was not happening so I knew it was not working. I let it st for 40 minutes in the shade and it started back up. I got it home and shut it off. I turned the key on and the pump took 2 seconds to start running. I tested my wife's and her pump starts as soon as you turn the key.
When it is hot out, the fuel pump stops working. This happens especially when it has been sitting outside in the sun. It will initially start and then, when the bike gets warmed up, it just shuts off.
After a short ride the scooter will not start again, did notice that fuel pump will not work when turned on. There is only 340 miles on this vehicle. Left stranded on a hot day.
I have been having trouble with my scooter failing to start or stop running while ridding.the fuel pump wont stay running or wont kick on when the key is turned on.
