What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
During the crash the front end of the vehicle was severely damaged but the front driver's side air bag did not deploy. The front passenger side curtain air bag did deploy although no passenger was seated in the vehicle. The vehicle was destroyed and towed away. A police report was taken at the scene.
Upon impact ( which I have pictures of) my driver side seatbelt released completely unbuckled & dangling , my dash lit up & said airbags deployed. But no airbags deployed. In turn upon impact my sternum hit my steering wheel. It busted the radiator so now my car will not even turn on.
First, the transmission had overheated, there were problems in the clutch assembly, and I don't know the third.
The contact stated that while she was driving, the adaptive cruise control was set to 25 mph, when she depressed on the brake pedal at the stoplight, but the brakes failed to respond, which resulted in her vehicle rear-ending six other vehicles. The air bags deployed.
airbag light came on in vehicle in Dec 2025. Took vehicle to local Acura dealer for service. they said a new airbag module part (77810-TX4-A40ZA) is needed. Been waiting 11 months for the part and only get no eta from corporate and the dealer.
When I was able to exit the highway and check, I was shocked to see my sunroof had shattered! Nothing had hit the sunroof. It was a spontaneous break! If I hadn’t had the inside sunroof closed, glass would have hit me and my passenger.
Transmision warning light comes on along with side warning indicator , stays on till vehicle is turned off . Then may or maynot come back on . Very intermitent.
No warning lights were illuminated. The failure occurred on several different occasions. A dealer was contacted and made aware of the failure and stated that the failure was possibly caused by the torque converter however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired.
