The contact stated that while driving approximately 25-27 MPH, the vehicle stalled in the middle of the road. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated, and the message "Engine Malfunction" was displayed. The vehicle then restarted independently, but the message remained displayed.
There were multiple warning lamps and messages and I am requesting the BSG be replaced on this vehicle and the dealership refuses to replace it, although there is a manufacturer recall on this part that is a ticking time-bomb that may cause the car to shut off again while driving.
REPLACEMENT OF DRIVER FRONT DOOR LOCK/LATCH ASSEMBLY DUE TO MECHANICAL FAILURE INTERNAL OF LATCH MECHANISM NOT ALLOWING INTERIOR HANDLE/CABLE TO REACH CLOSED POSITION 2. The truck of the car does not open with the use of the door latch or key fob. You have to manually open the trunk.
During or immediately following the recall repair, the vehicle developed persistent safety system failures, including rear backup camera malfunction and repeated safety warning alerts.
The tailgate lifting mechanism consistently creaks and groans and rubs against the body panel due to insufficient lift balance from both mechanisms. as a result, Ive already had to replace the lift rods once. I used OEM parts and the exact same thing is happening again.
