What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
I was entering the freeway as I was merging from the on-ramp onto the freeway after it had rained that day the car began to spun out of control as I was trying to regain the vehicle it'slammed into the side rail bouncing off of it and then I stepped on the brakes but the car proceeded to go forward hit the rail again…
Suddenly my car surged forward. I immediately pushed my foot down on the brake harder. Nothing happened. My car continued to surge forward, hitting the car in front of me. I put on the emergency brake and put the car in park. We got out of our vehicles.
As I approached a red light signal I began to apply the brakes slowing to 5-10 mph.instead of coming to a stop the vehicle became energized and began surging forward.
Car surging and caused accident, very dangerous. According to dot recall notice, car may have bad fuel pump that caused irregular and unsafe acceleration.
The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 - 70 MPH and attempting to change lanes, the vehicle lost power steering functionality. The message âChassis Unstableâ was displayed on the instrument panel.
The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing a significant oil leak. The contact stated that upon parking the vehicle, the contact noticed that a significant amount of oil was leaking onto the ground. The vehicle was taken to Crescent Automotive, where it was purchased.
As a result, the coolant pump began leaking, causing my vehicle to overheat and leak coolant, which has led to further damage and significant safety concerns. This issue put my safety and the safety of others at risk because the overheating occurred while driving, potentially leading to engine failure or an accident.
Additionally, the vehicle hesitated during acceleration. The ABS and headlight warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
