What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
While traveling 55mph & started to slow down when the abs brakes locked up. Was experiencing extended stopping distance. This caused the vehicle to skid. Vehicle hit an embankment & then flipped over. Had hit right side of vehicle & the air bags failed to deploy upon impact.
Fuel line is leaking and can cause a fire. There was a recall on this part in 1993. There saying there is no open recall on the fuel lines. The description of the recall in 1993 is exactly what is going on with my fuel lines. Its spraying fuel out of one of the lines by the engine.
It could start a fire and I have children. I found a recall on this already on another site but didn't know if it would still be valid to get it replaced. I just bought the vehicle from an individual and then 2 months after this happened.
Lower control arm, driver's side failure. Root cause: rust.
Brake lights on my 93 seville have been a problem since day one. I have replaced sockets and they continue to burn out, not the bulb but the sockets? I have asked other seville owners and they too have the same problem. Why hasn't this issue been addressed by gm. It is a safety issue?
The car stalled and was towed to a repair shop. The next day it was brought into the shop. The mechanic turned the ignition switch to start, and the intake manifold exploded, sending pieces of the manifold throughout the shop. The explosion also damaged the power steering pump.
Started the vehicle and it made a loud bang and smoke came rolling out from under the hood, looked and seen the intake manifold has a hole blown threw it and damage to the cover.
Lost vehicle braking because of brake line tubing corrosion. I narrowly avoided rear ending the vehicle in front of me by quickly changing lanes into the left turn lane. It appears as though the brake tubing was not galvanized as the pitting corrosion was severe... The car is only 10 years old.
