What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
While at 55mph a deer came in front of car, consumer hit a wet spot and car spinned out of control and hit a brick wall, ripped up the back end of the car, none of the airbags deployed.
While driving at approximately 2 mph, stopped on concrete ramp, made left hand turn into parking space, and dual airbags deployed, causing vehicle lurch ahead and run into a concrete wall, resulting in injures. There was no prior accident or warning of defect.
While driving at any speed, the instrument panel lights dimmed and the air conditioner compressor off, very low refrigerant, and service ride control warning lights illuminated. The failure recurred numerous times.
The ensuing fire would have been horrific and an unaware driver wouldn't have escaped without serious injury as the fuel begins to spray just before starting, and continues as long as the engine is running. The line has several inches exposed and easily accessible to a squirrel.
When attempted to start the vehicle, there was a loud explosion and a large cloud of white smoke had come from the engine. The dealer stated that the vehicle had blown the manifold with pieces of fragments under the hood. The dealer refused to cover the cost.
Vehicle stalled while driving about 55 mph. Next morning at first start there was an explosion under hood, then smoke. Consumer contacted gmc customer service, described what happened, and was told fuel pressure regulator had exploded. Vehicle not taken to dealer .
Then, when trying to restart engine did not start, and vehicle had to be towed to dealer . They found that defect was on engine fan that caused the engine to be replaced. Since then engine had been replaced two more times.
Then, after taking vehicle taken to dealer fuel pump had to be replaced ,and afterwards replaced four other times without a warning on defect.
