What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
While driving 35-40 mph rear axle broke, and left rear wheel came off axle. Vehicle rolled a couple of times, was totalled.
While traveling and steering vehicle started shaking/consumer lost control and hit a guardrail. Driver's side seat belt did not lock, and airbags did not deploy. Consumer felt that the seat belts should have caught driver enough and driver could have avoided head injuries.
Consumer was in an accident, and his air bag did not deploy.
The defective brake master cylinder malfunctioned, causing loss of braking ability without warning which resulted in an accident. Dealer replaced brake master cylinder.
During frontal impact at speeds of 45mph, the driver's side air bag did not deploy and the seat belt did not lock.
(abs) failure on the brakes caused the consumer to have an accident, the driver side air bags did not deploy.
The mechanic replaced the upper and lower ball joints needed replacing due to corrosion. Please fill in additional information.
I did not start having problems until 2000. It was a brake related problem. My brakes would lock up and the abs light would come on. I had no idea what the problem was but knew I had to have it fixed before it caused a accident from brake lock up during hard braking.
