What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Pressed the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. After inspection I found that the rear steel brake line failed. If I had not been pulling down the driveway when this happened and on the street I may have crashed as a result. The failure point is right beside the diesel tank on the frame rail.
They removed and cleaned the abs sensors and coated them with a substance to prevent future rusting of the components. I went to a chevrolet dealership to check on this recall for my vehicle. I was told it was not covered under the recall.
Consumer noticed gas dripping from the tank, took to service station he was told that the tank was severely dented and had ruptured, replaced fuel tank. A few weeks later the same thing happened and fuel replaced fuel tank.
