What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The windshield wipers didn't start or stop while operating. The wiper motor module was replaced. The consumer requested that nhtsa take action in processing claim to gm, and a full audit of gm's recall procedures(both past and present).
This is an oversight by nhtsa and the 4wd probably has a greater failure occurance since the failure mode is the solder joints failing due to vibration/ shock, which on a 4wd I would think it to be worse. In the htsa discription it says 2wd and 4wd vehicles but gm is only covering 2wd. So I guess I have to ask why ??
Right side seats keep losening, side door linkage continues to come apart, no way to easily escape, without rolling the window down!
Brake vacuum booster failed causing total brake failure.
Contatacted gm concerning the problem. They told me my vehicle was not covered under current recall of this type vehicle even if my problem was the same as stated in the recall for 1996 vehicles. Please look into having my model vehicle included in the recall. Thank you
While going down highway and attempted to apply brakes truck would not stop immediately.
Abs brakes; experiencing brake pedal fading w/premature wear of brake pads. Service manager states this is a design defect. Please describe details.
