What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The driver/steering wheel airbag did NOT deploy. Curtain airbags, and the airbag from the seat deployed but the steering wheel did NOT. My head hit the steering wheel as a result with injuries to my face. The airbag malfunction was confirmed by a mechanic.
Vehicle shakes, warning messages repeatedly display on screen and continue to cycle. Gage dials go back and forth. Acceleration is very limited and vehicle is limited to a max speed of 62 mph. The AC goes to 76 degrees and blow at full speed. If the AC is turned off it automatically returns to 76 at full speed.
Engine failure. Tahoe lost all power on the interstate going 70mph. Was able to get it to the side of the road and restart it. Engine started knocking and became undriveable.
Tahoe was purchased new in November 2024. Vehicle currently has around 37,000 miles and has been regularly serviced by GM dealers. On Sept. 9, 2026, was driving in moderate rain and wipers just stopped working. After stopping at a nearby gas station for about 5 minutes or so, the wipers again began working.
I experienced the issue being investigated with Investigation: EA26005 I lost engine power while driving my 2024 Chevy Tahoe. GM is now conducting a full engine replacement with another L87 engine.
I had my two young children in the car, I was able to go up hill and shift it into park after driving 15 minutes basically with no brakes. It was towed to Hendrick Chevrolet, where they replaced the master cylinder. On May 5th I was driving the car and the service brake assist light came on with the message.
I am extremely concerned about potential electrical hazards, safety risks, corrosion, and malfunction of electronic systems caused by water intrusion inside the vehicle. This vehicle has relatively low mileage for its age and has not been modified.
The vehicle then experienced very hard jerking- stall- that lead to the dealership putting an AWD IN 2WD calling it a fix! Just got vehicle back again after a complete stall at a stop sign- causing vehicle to roll back and cut back on!
