What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The air bags did not deploy. I removed the key and got out of the vehicle. My neighbors witnessed the event as the vehicle drove out the back of the garage. Fortunately I was not injured, but went to the emergency room at ft belvoir amc.
You can see very plainly where it has been cracked for awhile, old and rusted, and then the new break. No other car was involved , just broke off. Chrysler will not e-mail me or talk to me on the phone. My suv was totaled and the insurance company paid me back. But I still have the piece that broke off and pictures.
Shortly after we drove off the lot on the way home on may 2nd 2017 the vehicle started to shake and the check engine light turns on and I notice that it is out of gas as well. After fueling up, I drive over to our family mechanic.
Has never stalled on me while in motion, but will display "no bus" & gage needles shoot up & down. Car won't start.
Takata recall passenger airbag.. This recall notice was published in july 2016, it has not been complied with and no solution is forthcoming in the near future. The vehicle should be purchased by chrysler so my family is not subject to injury or death in the case of an accident.

Every time I or my wife fill the tank in the aspen while traveling or locally I get an enormous amount of fuel back sprayed and spewed on me and my cloths requiring me to stay away from any sparks, fire or ignitions of any sort till I remove my clothing and then shower off the gasoline.
