Fleetwood, tioga, 1997, dotvd1l1xa. All 5 tires have less than 20000 miles. Rear outer tire blewout at 16,000, then the rear inner tire blewout at 19,300. Both left dual tires blewout at 19,300. Firestone steeltex tires, consumer also states that the right front tire blewout at 29810 miles.
Inside tire blewout a hole in sidewall, and outside tire tread separated, causing damage to motor home. Consumer also had a right rear inside tire blowout prior to these failures, dot number vdil1xa366 and vdil1xa386.
Front passenger tire tread came off while traveling at 62mph . Consumer stated that if tire had not been made of steel, could have lost control. Firestone agreed to upgrade tire after debate over problem. Firestone will charge to upgrade, mounting balancing & federal excise tax. Firestone steeltex radial r4s.
