Me and my sister both own 2013 tauruses, mine a intercepter, hers a self, by 100000 both toe links were cracked and joints broke, replaced links on both cars. Plus my fuel module was under recall and not hers, but hers failed and mine did not.
The contact stated that the seat belt steel cable snapped in half when the officer tried to secure himself in the vehicle before driving. The cable flew up after being snapped in from the base of the attachment to the vehicle's floor. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted.
Power steering failed. Mechanical shop advised problem is faulty steering motor sensor fault. Ford recall #15s18. Our vehicle manufactured 04/2012; vehicles covered by recall have ending manufacture date of 02/2012.
Our department's fleet of 2013 and 2015 interceptors have experienced tepeated headlight failures. No recall found for this problem. Problems began as vehicles surpassed warranty limits. One serviced at the dealer and the wire harness had burned up and needed replaced, as well as the bcm needed reprogramming.
Component in fuel pump electric module failed and fuel pump failed and both replaced. Salinas valley ford did not honor recall number 16v621000 or 15v812000 covering these equipment failures. They are or should be covered by the recall notices sent in 2105 and 2015.
They run a dynastic because, the check engine came on. And the only code they found was this: p0627 - fuel pump control circuit open. It shut off again as I pull off in the parking lot of the auto parts place. I tried to turn it on again but only cranks and won't start on again.
