The service

VinWind is an online service that analyses vehicle damage from the VIN, photos and technical data. By using the site you agree to these terms. How we process personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Account

Ordering reports requires signing in with Google. You are responsible for activity in your account and must not share access with others. We may restrict access in case of abuse, scraping or breach of these terms.

Nature of reports

A report is an informational assessment based on the available photos and data. It is not an opinion of an independent appraiser, a forensic or insurance expert assessment, and it does not replace an inspection at a repair shop. Hidden damage is marked as likely or requiring inspection until an inspection confirms it. Repair costs are estimates and may differ from the actual cost.

Limitation of liability

Decisions to buy, bid, repair or pay out are yours alone. To the extent permitted by law, VinWind is not liable for losses caused by decisions made on the basis of a report or for inaccuracies in third-party data. These terms do not limit the rights granted to you by the consumer protection law of your country.

Payment

The first analysis is free. If paid reports become available, the price and terms will be shown before payment.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. We may update the terms; the current version is on this page with its update date.

What belongs to VinWind

Damage marks on lot photos (boxes, captions, severity ratings), damage summaries, texts, reports and their compilations on vinwind.com are created by VinWind and constitute our database and creative work. Auction photos themselves belong to their rights holders; our marks and captions on them are ours.

What is allowed

• Viewing pages and photos for your own decision to buy a vehicle.
• Sharing a link to a lot or report page.
• Indexing pages by search engines to show them in search results.

What is prohibited without VinWind’s written permission

• Training, fine-tuning, evaluating or validating artificial intelligence and machine learning models (including damage detectors and segmenters) on marked photos or on the marks themselves. Page texts may be read, cited and used for training by AI assistants and search engines with attribution to VinWind.
• Text and data mining (TDM): automated collection, copying and analysis of content to build datasets. VinWind reserves the TDM right for marked photos (Art. 4 of EU Directive 2019/790; machine-readable via /.well-known/tdmrep.json, the TDM-Reservation and X-Robots-Tag: noai, noimageai headers and IPTC “Data Mining: prohibited” metadata in the photos).
• Commercial use of marked photos, marks and texts: resale, publication in other services, listings or reports.
• Bulk downloading (scraping) of pages and photos, bypassing limits and blocks.
