What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
While driving approximately 55 mph, the travel trailer caught on fire near the driver's side wheel. The contact pulled over and extinguished the fire with bottles of water.
The contact stated that her granddaughter was outside of the motor carrier and burned her hand (3 fingers blistered) when she touched the hot water heater grate. The water heater grate was located next to the trailer door and there was no indication that it was hot and dangerous to touch.
Both leaf springs have failed and now a weld on a spring support has failed.
