What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Forward Collision Avoidance sensor failed to function as intended. The contact stated that the failure occurred while exiting a parking space. The contact stated that the images on the screen displayed a wider distance between the two vehicles.
We never got any warning lights, nor did the dealer before and after they recreated the issue. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
After the original engine failed the recall inspection, it was replaced as part of GM's recall program at 40k miles. At 50k miles with the new engine (so only 10k miles into the new engine), the engine completely locked up and shut down while my son was driving the car on the interstate.
I tried to start the engine again and the screens would turn back on, tell me to push the start/stop button again, then the screens would turn back off and on again and the engine would not start back up.
Warnings came on for battery, oil, transmission failure, engine failure. Power ultimately failed and electric finally shutoff after short period of time. Was able to connect to Onstar and they got a tow truck there in 2 hours.
My 2023 GMC Yukon AT4 is "hard shifting/jerking" during acceleration. This occurs approximately 5 times per week and I am starting to get safety concerns. I have had the transmission flushed (09/14/2026) and then had the diagnostic measured 09/23/2026, with the Repair Order stating "no problem found at this time."…
On August 8th 2026 the engine developed a loud knock. It was taken to the dealership on 8/31/2026 after inspection it was determined that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. There was no warning lamps that indicated there was an issue with the engine.
The contact pulled over to the right side of the road and attempted to shift into drive; however, the failure persisted, and the vehicle lost power. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was towed to the dealer and was diagnosed with engine failure.
