What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Tl* the contact owned a 2008 harley-davidson fltr road glide. Whiledriving approximately10 mph, the brake pedalwas depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond without warning. As a result, the contact sideswiped another vehicle and crashed into an aluminum bridge.a police report was filed.
ABS Module failed for rear brake. The rear brake locks up due to failure from the module. Safety of myself and any passenger is at risk by not having any braking ability while riding the motorcycle.
As a result, the vehicle stalled and lost power without warning. The contacted pulled over, restarted the vehicle, and resumed normal riding. When the failure recurred, the contact towed the vehicle to baer sport center harley-davidson and polaris ([address], honesdale, [ZIP], [phone]) where they replaced the plugs on…
While driving various speeds, the vehicle started to overheat, smoke, and a knocking noise was coming from the engine. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The failure recurred numerous times.
Front brakes failed due to bad abs module with no warning. Very hard to pull in when trying to stop. Worked fine and now nothing. This could have resulted in myself wrecking (rear ending) someone if it happened a busy road.
2007 harley road glide. The housing for stator fails. Cracks inner primary. In some cases. The major compliant is that there is only a up grade kit that costs $479.00. Not to include tax an labor. It has been known to just lock up motor. How can this not be a recall as of yet the or off is there upgrade kit!!!
