Tl contact owns a 1999 isuzu oasis. The contact stated that he was able to remove the key from the ignition, even if the gear shift indicator was not in park. As a result, the his vehicle crashed into another vehicle while parked.
The first time this happened I took the vehicle into a shop who cleaned the throttle body and said the stall may be related to the idle air control. The problem of the vehicle going dead without warning has occurred 10 times in 4 weeks at various speeds between 25 and 55 mph and in heavy traffic.
Consumer received a recall (02v-120) notice on ignition switch and took the vehicle to the dealership, but the dealer was unwilling to fix the recall problem on time.
