What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
A dealer was contacted. The RV was not taken to a dealer where it diagnosed and determined that the structure of the roof was damaged, and that the wood bands needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.
Bought the trailer brand new. One of the leaf springs completely snapped and broke while driving on a smooth road. Trailer was not overloaded. Leaf springs were replaced twice by warranty with the same parts and the springs were flat and W shaped each time. The are supposed to be U shaped.
The entry door on my Jayco 264BH has become extremely difficult to open and close because the bottom of the door is rubbing against or making contact with the frame. This makes it nearly impossible for children to enter or exit the RV safely.
The contact stated that an MKing keyless entry door lock was installed on the trailer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the RV door opened independently. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer.
Small bumps in to the handle cause the window to shut and the handle to move back into the sleeping quarters. Further in the event a child needed to escape the window one must hold the window up. A child would not be able to hold the window up causing a safety issue. Latch catch should be larger.
