What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Travel trailer has wide stance axles manufactured by lippert components inc. The axles measure 2 3/8" diameter and the rear axle bent permanently causing excessive wear to the inside edge of the rear tires and leading to potential tire failure.
On july 25,2018 lippert replaced a bent axle on my white hawk tt. I started my drive towards home and after less than 8 hours of driving the new axle bent. This occured on interstate 70 as I was going around indianapolis, in.
The axles on my camper have been replaced 4 times. Each time with the same axle. With no other modifications. The first time only the rear axle bent but I was able to drive back to the dealer in ct.
