What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Hit side road on highway that was gravel. Turned wheel to get back on highway and suv rolled 1 1/2 times - had taken it in a couple years prior due to back wheels not being stable on gravel roads and was told the stability control was fine which it wasn't.
The contact stated that the brakes failed while attempting to enter a parking space. The vehicle could not be stopped and traveled over the curb before crashing into a ditch. The contact was not injured.
Stopped short at a traffic light (abs engaged). Proceeded to idle forward toward the car stopped in front of me, applied brake pedal which went straight to the floor, resulting in a minor accident at 5mph.
When I pressed the gas to go in reverse in my 2007 lexus gx 470, the car accelerated far more than I was pressing on the gas pedal. The car continued to accelerate even when I removed my foot from the accelerator, and eventually collided with a concrete pole.
After removing foot from accelerator and applying brake while parking, the vehicle accelerated as if the gas pedal was pushed to the floor. My wife had the brake pushed as hard as she could but was not able to stop the car before it hit an embankment.
Height control for rear air suspension bottoms out and the vehicle bounce violently while driving and the control switch for the height is stuck in neutral
The sunroof door is rusted all over the metal surrounding the glass on the inside of the vehicle. The roof of the car is ok but I fear the rust will eventually get there. My concern is that the sunroof door might get detached while driving and may cause a serious accident.
- entire vehicle violently shakes and vibrates while driving anywhere between 40mph - 65mph. Does not vibrate when not accelerating or coasting. - entire dashboard is cracking and chipping.
