What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Brake failure. Foot on brake entering garage, no response from the brake pedal, pedal began to sink to the floor and the traction/skid control light came on, as pedal went to the floor car jumped several 100 rpm's, pedal still to the floor did not stop until running into garage cabinets.
On febuary 9th at approxmately 10am I experienced a sudden acceleration problem on my 2007 lexxus 460l car.the car acclerated out of my control, in reverse, in to a cement pillar in an underground parking lot. I then put the car in drive and it acclerated even faster in to a cement wall.
The contact stated while driving at 60 MPH, the check engine and hazard warning light illuminated, and the vehicle decelerated independently. The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed of an engine misfire. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 lexus ls 460l. The contact stated that the vehicle emitted a strong fuel odor, and the vehicle variable gear ratio system and virtual station system lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was not taken to have a diagnostic test performed. The vehicle was not repaired.
I am experiencing an anti lock brakes actuator failure. Upon starting the vehicle it gives the warning "stop the vehicle and contact a dealer". The extended warranty is limited by mileage and years. Being a key safety component in vehicle operation, I am requesting this issue be converted into a recall.
After having the fuel pressure sensor gasket changed for the recall, I have had a strong fuel smell in the cabin. Taken to the dealer, spent nine weeks looking for the leak.
