What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
While driving on a California freeway at highway speed, the vehicle unexpectedly decelerated and the seatbelts tightened as though a collision avoidance or emergency safety system had activated. There was no apparent vehicle, obstacle, or roadway hazard present that would explain the event.
3500 miles will suddenly enter into collision avoidance mode. Specifically, the seatbelts will tighten up and the brakes will fully engage to stop the vehicle. In all cases, there was no risk of collision and the system engages with false positive alerts.
