When the gas tank is filled up fuel is leaking from the top of the tank and there is a strong odor of gasoline in the garage. After the car is driven and a few gallons of fuel are burned, the smell is no longer noticeable. The repair facility said the fuel sending unit and seals need to be replaced.
The contact stated that while driving 30 mph, the coolant light illuminated as the vehicle stalled. The contact was not able to restart the vehicle and the vehicle was towed to a dealer.
While driving 10 mph, the engine failed and the steering locked. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was towed to a mercedes benz dealer. The vin, purchase date, engine size, powertrain, and mileage information were unknown.
