What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Airbags did not deploy despite broken frame, collapsed suspension, all 4 no flat tires were flat and front end damage.
My seatbelt was on. My head hit the steering wheel resulting in a massive brain bleed. I have ruptured and herniated disks and severe whiplash as well as a fractured skull. My airbag did not deploy although My car was announcing a loud message over the speakers “we have alerted emergency services”.
The air bags did not deploy but the contact mentioned that the other vehicles air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The contact sustained back and neck aches that needed medical attention. The vehicle was towed to a salvaged yard waiting to be diagnosed by the insurance company.
The contact stated she was collided into a fire hydrant. The air bag did not deploy. The contact stated the passenger from the other vehicle sought medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to impound lot. A dealer was not contacted.
February 21, 2019 I was pulling into a parking space and the brakes temporarily failed. When I pumped them a second time they came to a stop, however by then the car and I had gone over a hedge and side swiped a tree.
My 2018 mini cooper countryman s was involved in a front end collision with another driver who was traveling at approximately 50-60mph. We were traveling approximately 13 mph at time of impact and the front, knee or side air bag(s) did not deploy.
