The steering box shaft completely snapped apart, steering was lost and had to drift into a guardrail to stop vehicle. I contacted the dealership and was told part was 2100 dollars for steering. If the vehicle was not going less than 15 mph the results would have been a diaster.
Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle was involved in a front-end collision while driving at 70mph and the air bags did not deploy. The contact suffered minor bruising in the collision, and a police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to a private repair shop, where the mechanic was unable to determine the problem.
I was cited for "failure to yield, but contested that my brakes failed at the point of avoiding the car in front of me. I had the vehicle checked several times and no one knew what was wrong with the vehicle?
