What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
On the afternoon of June 24, 2026, at approximately 5:40 PM, I experienced a severe, sudden braking system failure that directly caused a rear-end collision. I was driving my 2023 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid on the highway, traveling to a concert scheduled for 7:00 PM.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? -THE TRUNK How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? -WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS ON, THE KEY WAS ON TEH VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION THE TRUNK POPPED OPEN ON IT'S OWN.
Several times a month when my car comes to a stop the brakes malfunction and the brake pedal goes to the floor and the power steering stops working. It takes up to another car length to fully stop when this happens - sometimes just a few extra feet. It has caused me to damage the front end by driving into a bush.
Acc/ pas unavailable warning: approximately eight months ago while driving on a city street in sarasota, fl the pas system was activated and abruptly stopped my vehicle without reason. On two separate occasions the "acc/pas is unavailable" warning has appeared on my instrument panel.
Porsche has released a recall campaign but after taking my vehicle to a Porsche dealership to fix the recall, they informed me that they have not been given a remedy to the recall.
The surround-view and rear backup camera system repeatedly fails. The screen goes completely black, including when shifting into reverse. The Coupe's shortened, sloped rear window creates major blind spots, so the driver depends on the cameras. When they fail, there is effectively no rear visibility.
