What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Engine fire while on the highway. We recently had a disaster in our motor home. A fire broke out in the engine compartment while on the highway (oct 2015 near asheville nc). What I discovered was a seal had failed on the hydraulic motor that drives the fan.
The contact stated that the front driver and passenger side windows were not secured in the frame. The contact was concerned that the windows would fracture. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic who stated that brackets might need to be installed along with other unknown repairs. The vehicle was not repaired.
The contact stated that all of the stationery dual pane windows became permanently fogged. The windows needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the windows were not filled properly. The windows were not replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
The contact noticed that the front window seal in the therman pain glass was fractured and obstructing the contact's view of the roadway. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure, nor was the vehicle diagnosed or repaired. No repairs were performed.
