What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The contact stated while driving approximately 4 MPH as the vehicle slowed for traffic the brakes failed. The contact crashed into the vehicle directly in front with no damage to the first vehicle. The contact's vehicle sustained damage to the front cap which was cracked and fractured.
Tl* the contact owns a 2011 trinity mt3 (n/a) with kings st5000 tires,(n/a) size: 175/80/13. The contact stated that he noticed two splits on the side wall of the driver's side tire. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The tire was replaced. The vin was not available.
A bracket holding the rear sway bar to the chassis on the driver side is missing one of two bolts. The bracket is bent and hangs uselessly from the chassis. This 2011 tiffin allegro was built on a ford f53 chassis. Multiple reports at tiffinrvnetwork.com alerted me to check for the problem.
While driving approximately between 20-40 mph the brakes overheated and smoke emitted inside of the vehicle. The contact maneuvered to the side of the road to inspect the vehicle and then continued to drive with caution. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the front and rear brakes were replaced.
Suddenly, the rear end of the vehicle engulfed into flames, which the contact stated originated from the engine area. The fire department extinguished the large flames and the vehicle was declared as destroyed. The vehicle was towed to an impound facility. There was no personal injury.
It is a rear engine diesel and I fill up at truck stops where they have a fuel pump on either side. Many truck drivers use both pumps to shorted the fill time. However, the passenger's side fill is lower than the driver's side and if you use both pumps, you can overflow the passenger's side fill and spill diesel fuel…
