Twice: once in August and most importantly 09/07/2024 was slowing down to stop at a dry cleaners when the car reved up and accelerated forward. I continued to apply brakes all the way to the floor and couldnât get it to stop, so ran into the businessesâs van.
Not even the side curtain airbag and the whole driver's side window shattered. Was turning left at a light when I was tboned.
The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The fender, front bumper, and passenger side headlamp were repaired. The failure mileage was 80,000.
My two sons were involved in a car accident to where my car ended up being totaled and what is disturbing to me is that the air bags did not deploy at time of impact. The brunt of the damage was on the passenger side which is where my 13 year old was sitting.
