What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
I have a 2006 polaris 800 sportsman atv that was purchased new from ridersville cycle in berkeley springs, wv on january 25, 2006. On may 26, 2006 I went riding with a few friends. I checked the vehicle over as I do before every ride and everything seemed normal.
No injuries or death yet!! Polaris sportsman 90 youth atv-have had 2 occasions when the youth atv throttle would stick and the atv would take off running! In addition, starter sticks on when atv is started. Dealer was contacted while atv was within warranty period and problem was not fixed.
