The bike jerked and locked up for a moment but I was able to keep it under control and slow down to a stop. There was no warning or symptoms up to this point. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk with this failure. I was fortunate enough to keep control of the bike to slow down.
I have noticed the latching mechanism on the saddlebag is wearing prematurely. The right side bag has more noticeable wear than the left saddlebag. It appears that the soft metal is being worn from the latch striker hoop.
Recall number 13e-048 lock and ride back rest and luggage rack. Notified in december 2013 about recall. Notified in april 2014 that parts were available for repair. As of september 2014 (9 mos after notification) dealer still does not have parts from victory for the repair. Been lied to about this for months.
