What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Power train is noisy and does not catch third gear, goes back to second gear when you attempt to go to third gear causing bike to jerk forward violently, really tense and scary moment.
My victory v92c with 12000 miles on it will slip out of 3rd gear. Also has a hard time finding neutral and sometimes slips into neutral while shifting. This has been going on for about 3 months now and I would estimate has happened about 50 times. It has gotten to the point now that I just skip 3rd gear and go to 4th.
My transmission failed and it appears that there is a long history of transmission failures and deaths associated with the failure. I only had 6,000 miles on the transmission when it failed in 4th gear with several drops, skipping and false neutrals.
